About

This is mostly here so I can keep track of documents across the web that I find interesting and worth having a record of. Some of the stuff you may find interesting as well, which is why this is public. Want to comment on something? Feel free to do so (assuming I don’t disable comments. only will happen due to spam).

So, what content can you expect to find here? Mostly stuff about economics and related policy questions. I won’t do much politics, as it is basically all partisan now, and I cannot stand the partisan bickering. I am interested in intellectual property, development, international trade, public finance, poverty, inequality, and econometric methods. I claim expertise nowhere, however. If you know of a blog or resource that is good for these kinds of topics, please pass it along. Along these lines, the notion that the human brain is an imperfect logic processor interests me, so I may make posts along the lines of methods of thought that are designed for error-correction of these biological/psychological shortcomings.

As I cook up solutions to computer issues that I have, I may log them here if they are discreet or complicated enough to bother documenting. If someone asks me how to do something, I will likely write-up the howto here, and then point them to the link of the post. That is not an invitation for questions on how to do things. People who know me know the kinds of questions I’m willing to help out with.

Also, I am fond of food and will post recipes and other food-solutions, if you will, on occasion.

Other things may come along that I find worth posting (aka “Elements of the Superset”), though off the top of my head, I cannot think of what.

On that note, some of the earlier posts do not clearly indicate attribution due to Wordpress importing issues.

Finally, if you would like to contact me in private, you can email me at computer.economist_at_gmail_dot_com (if you are a human, you should be able to read that well enough to type it into your mail client).
