Not that the Republican machine hasn’t been screaming tax break for decades with ZERO sign of ever implementing an actual decrease on taxes. Either they don’t get it, or they don’t care. A drop in taxes is ONLY implemented in a spending decrease. Reducing taxes while implementing such a break is not a ‘tax break,’ it is a loan from the next generation to us, that they have to pay back to themselves. So, really, it is theft. We don’t pay it back, and we don’t ask them if it is okay to do. Now, I’m not saying Louisiana doesn’t need to do some spending (it does), just that spending should be funded with taxes and not Hollywood accounting-like ‘tax breaks.’

He has patently illegal (and frankly, immoral. Murdering someone to make sure a child is born is hardly humanitarian.) views on abortion and favors teaching intelligent design in schools.

I am interested to see his ethics reform. Everyone knows Louisiana could use a serious ethics overhaul. I’m just not sure how effective it will be. Time will tell on this one matter. I’ve not seen anything substantial yet that would put a significant dent in the deep, ol’ boy networks down there.
I’m just saying that I’ve not seen anything to indicate that Jindal is not yet another sleezeball Republican. Has anyone else?
