DNC Favors Hillary?
Well, maybe. I just saw this article over at the BBC saying that 2025 candidates were required to secure the Democratic nomination. Thinking that maybe, just maybe, the BBC is more reliable than most American news sources, I went over to the DNC’s website, and I see this image (Original Screenshot of DNC Website). Cropped here for your ease of viewing:
Notice something (besides a totally lost train of thought)? Hillary Clinton’s name is plastered all over the place. Barak Obama’s is NO WHERE TO BE FOUND. Now, I don’t look at news photographs very often; nor have I ventured into an Obama gathering (crowds scare me, sorry). So, it MIGHT be that Obama just doesn’t plaster his name all over the place when he is speaking. Maybe it is all about “Change We Can Believe In.” But for some reason, I think you will be able to find plenty of posters with Obama’s name on it at any given gathering. Why doesn’t the DNC’s front page make it very obvious which two candidates are running for office? Maybe you have to live under a rock to not know his name, but why do you think every candidate in the country gets a billion little signs and puts them in every yard they can? Name recognition is important at the ballot box, and the DNC is tucking Obama onto the back of the ballot on their own front page. I am annoyed.
Back to the original point, I went to the site to look up the precise rules governing the delegates and what constitutes a majority in this situation of “stripped” delegates and how that defines what a majority is. I would assume it is of the quorum, but I got distracted. I will post if I find anything conclusive.
